Restoration of stained glass and stained glass products
Stained glass was broken, glass burst, parts fell out? The stained glass window has faded, the seams have lost their shine, or a layer of soot has appeared on the glass? We will restore your favorite stained glass window, restore, clean and restore the shine of the seams. Our workshop carries out a full range of works on the restoration of soldered stained glass and stained glass products of any complexity.
The task of restoration is to improve the appearance of an object, to restore losses – defects resulting from use: chips, impacts, cracks, breaks and much more. Stained-glass windows whose glass parts are soldered together can be restored, repaired, updated, and, if necessary, modified. This significantly distinguishes soldered stained-glass windows made using ancient technology from modern pseudo stained-glass windows and other derivatives that are not repaired to new condition.
DAMAGE THAT STAINED GLASS, STAINED GLASS LAMPS OR OTHER CURVED PRODUCTS MAY HAVE.
Soldered stained-glass windows are products that can withstand use for thousands of years. The reasons for repairing stained-glass windows are most often associated with damage to glass parts, which can fall out, break from an impact on the product, burst from a sudden temperature change or from shrinkage of the building if the stained-glass window is inserted into a rigid structure that is under load. Stained-glass can be damaged by improper care. For example, the use of chemical reagents to remove contaminants can cause visual and textural defects in stained-glass, such as clouding of some elements, darkening or deposits on the seams, streaks or stains on the glass that cannot be removed and require their replacement in the future. Stained-glass paintings can be damaged or lost when treated with chemicals. When cleaning glass with hard sponges, scratches may occur.
DETAILS ABOUT SERVICES
RESTORATION OF OLD STAINED GLASS WINDOWS
The problem of restoration of historically valuable stained glass windows is that not all modern materials can be used to reproduce former compositions. Quite often, in order to approach the authenticity of stained glass windows, it is necessary to order glass that is no longer produced in modern production.
STAINED GLASS MOSAIC
We specialize in the restoration of stained glass mosaics, which are created using stained glass. Such works can be made from a glass module laid out in the Roman mosaic technique or in the Florentine mosaic technique, with details of free configuration stacked into a single pattern.

The first meeting is a discussion of the artistic and technical issues of the product, determining the approximate price of the stained glass window and paying for the sketch. The cost of a sketch for a future product is determined by the artist and depends on the complexity of execution and the amount of work.
The second meeting is the selection and coordination of materials, the calculation of estimates. Sketch and glass approval. Payment of 70% of the cost of the product.
The third meeting is the final payment of 30% and the installation of a stained glass window, if required by the design.
